Ulrich medical USA has announced the US market release of the golden gate lateral plate system, a novel German-designed spinal implant system that is used for the anterior surgical stabilisation of the thoracic and lumbar spine (T1–L5).
“This product is intended to provide anterior column stabilisation after the removal of a vertebral body and can be used with an endoscopic or open approach,” said Hans Stover, president and CEO, ulrich medical USA.
The unique feature of this implant system is the two-part plate design (C-plate and gate) which gives the surgeon an unobstructed field of vision and open access to the intervertebral space during surgery. The system’s locking plate technology incorporates cannulated and conical polyaxial screws allowing for polyaxial movement to maintain proper balance and ease of insertion during surgery.
“Ulrich medical USA is expanding our spine market reach beyond corpectomy cages and this is our first product released as part of this market expansion initiative,” said Stover. “The golden gate product is a perfect complement to our existing premium cage technologies, and we are actively seeking additional sales distribution channels for our growing product lines in the USA.”
