InVivo Therapeutics’ Neuro-spinal scaffold

The St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto has been added as a Canadian clinical site for Invivo Therapeutics’ INSPIRE study (InVivo Study of Probable Benefit of the Neuro-spinal scaffold for Safety and Neurologic Recovery in Subjects with Complete Thoracic AIS A Spinal Cord Injury).

The St Michael’s Hospital is InVivo’s second site in Toronto and sees over 70,000 emergency visits annually.

“My research focuses on engineering applications to neurosurgical procedures with the goal of improving safety and outcome for patients. The INSPIRE study holds much promise for this large unmet medical need and I look forward to participating,” says Howard Ginsberg, assistant professor in the Department of Surgery and the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, and principal investigator at the study site.
