SpineCraft reports it has completed 15,000 Apex spine system surgeries globally.

The instrumentation system is designed for complex deformity correction as well as tumour, trauma and degenerative procedures.

Anis Mekhail of the University of Illinois Hospital and Parkview Orthopaedic Group says, “I have used Apex for several years and it has become my workhorse system for both complex spine as well as degenerative procedures. The broad range of implants and quality instrumentation allows me the surgical flexibility I require to address the most challenging procedures

The Apex system is designed for use with 6mm and 5.5mm titanium and cobalt chromium rods. According to a company release, all rods are interchangeable within the same implants and instrumentation. This is intended to provide the surgeon valuable intraoperative flexibility while reducing hospital inventory requirements.
