Rhode Island Hospital joins InVivo’s INSPIRE study

InVivo Therapeutics’ Neuro-spinal scaffold

InVivo Therapeutics has announced that Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, USA, has been added as a clinical site for the INSPIRE (InVivo Study of Probable Benefit of the Neuro-Spinal Scaffold for Safety and Neurologic Recovery in Subjects with Complete Thoracic AIS A Spinal Cord Injury) study.

Rhode Island Hospital is the principal teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, USA, and is the designated level one trauma centre for the southeast of the New England area of the country.

“My research interests lie in understanding repair and plasticity within the spinal cord. I look forward to being a part of the INSPIRE study and evaluating InVivo’s Neuro-spinal scaffold first-hand,” Adetokunbo Oyelese, says. Oyelese is director of Spinal Disorders for the Department of Neurosurgery and Surgical Director for the Comprehensive Spine Center at Rhode Island Hospital. He will be principal investigator at the site, which has been added as number 29 for INSPIRE.
