Precision Spine has launched the Slimplicity HP anterior cervical plating (ACP) system in the USA, which has been designed to enable surgeons to accommodate diverse patient anatomies and pathologies with low profile constrained, semi-constrained or hybrid constructs.

The Slimplicity HP ACP system’s dual thread fixed and variable angle screws maximise cortical and cancellous bone interface to facilitate optimal bone purchase, Precision Spine said in a press release. The system’s one-step locking mechanism provides both tactile and visual confirmation for increased confidence and security, the press release notes.

“The Slimplicity HP ACP System is another key element in the cervical segment of our growing portfolio,” said Chris DeNicola, chief operating officer of Precision Spine. “This system exemplifies our ongoing commitment to providing the latest technology to deliver greater versatility, efficiency and cost-effectiveness to the OR.”

The Slimplicity HP ACP System is indicated for use in temporary stabilisation of the anterior spine from C2 to T1 during the development of cervical spinal fusions in patients with: degenerative disc disease (DDD); spondylolisthesis; trauma (including fractures or dislocations); spinal tumours; spinal stenosis; deformity (defined as kyphosis, lordosis, or scoliosis); pseudoarthrosis; and failed previous fusions.
