Orthofix International announced the promotion of Robert S. Vaters to chief operating officer. Vaters who has worked as chief financial officer since joining Orthofix in September 2008 will now be responsible for the operations of the company and continue to report to Alan Milinazzo, president and chief executive officer.
“Since joining Orthofix, Bob has had a positive impact on key drivers of the company. This promotion recognises his contribution to our success over the last two years and we look forward to his continued success with his new responsibilities,” stated Milinazzo.
In addition, the company announced the appointment of Brian McCollum to interim chief financial officer. McCollum has been with Orthofix in various roles of increasing responsibilities over the past nine years, most recently as senior vice president of Finance. On an interim basis, McCollum will be responsible for all financial activities of the company including investor relations.
