Misonix has introduced its new BoneScalpel MIS Platform at the annual North American Spine Society meeting in Chicago, USA.

Surgeons who attended Misonix’s presentations at the conference received hands-on training through peer-to-peer demonstrations of the new platform. Misonix claims that benefits of the product include controlled bone cutting and removal, reducing bone bleeding and sparing soft-tissue.

One of the product demonstrators, Connor Telles, Sierra Pacific Orthopedics, Fresno, USA, also comments that the BoneScalpel “provides more control than traditional instruments and reduces bone bleeding while protecting the neural elements.”

“It’s clear that the BoneScalpel system is having a large impact in a growth market,” says Michael A. McManus, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Misonix.
