The first surgical operation with the Rosa Spine (Medtech) in Spain has taken place. The procedure, which was performed at Hospital La Fe of Valencia, treated a patient with degenerative disc disease.
The operation was performed on a 47 year-old patient by Carlos Botella, a neurosurgeon at La Fe Hospital of Valencia (Spain). La Fe is a University-based Hospital.
“Rosa Spine allows us to perform minimally invasive surgical interventions that track and adjust for the patient’s body movements during the procedure. As a result, we have increased confidence that the instrument and implant positioning is aligned with the planned trajectory, facilitating a highly accurate outcome,” says Carlos Botella, a neurosurgeon specialising in the treatment of neurological and spinal disorders.
