C-InSight, Mazor Surgical Technologies latest product, was launched at the 23rd North American Spine Society (NASS) in October in Toronto, Canada.

C-InSight, a software based add-on product, provides 3D images in the OR without the need to purchase a new imaging system. C-InSight transforms 2D images obtained from existing C-Arms during spine and orthopaedic surgery, to 3D and Axial view images, providing surgeons with accurate inter-operative verification of implant placement and fracture reduction. According to Mazor Surgical Technologies, the use of C-InSight will reduce revision rates and the need for post-operative CT verification scans.

At NASS, Mazor Surgical Technologies also introduced new applications of its flagship product, SpineAssist. These new applications include scoliosis, vertebral compression fracture (VCF) and posterior cervical procedures.

“With the recent FDA clearance of the BedMount platform, we now have a less invasive approach to assist surgeons in percutaneous applications. At the conclusion of 40 consecutive scoliosis case series it has been demonstrated that SpineAssist provides reproducible, safe and accurate screw placement, overcoming the complexity of scoliosis-related deformities and the absence of anatomical landmarks in revision surgeries,” says Ori Hadomi, CEO of Mazor.
