Life Spine has reported that the first cases have been successfully performed with the company’s Plateau-Ti spacer system.
Plateau-Ti is a titanium interbody system using Osseo-Loc, a surface treatment with 500-600 microns of porosity designed to help create an environment for potential bone growth. The device is intended to facilitate both PLIF and TLIF procedures.
“The design of the Plateau-Ti has large graft windows and a bulleted tip, which allows for easy insertion for minimally invasive cases. I prefer titanium implants over PEEK implants because it increases my confidence that fusion will occur,” says Robert Hirschl of the Orlando Health in Gainesville, USA.
