RTI Surgical has announced three new executive appointments. They include Jonathon Singer, a member of RTI’s board of directors, as chief financial and administrative officer, effective 2 October 2017.
Jonathon Singer will replace outgoing chief financial officer, Robert Jordheim. RTI also appointed Olivier Visa and Julius Aviza. Visa has served as vice president of Global Compounding for Baxter, and Aviza as past vice president of Global Quality at American Medical Systems. Visa and Aviza will lead its original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Donor Services, Sports business and quality assurance function.
Singer, an RTI board member since May 2016, will resign from the board to focus on his new role. He will report to RTI chief executive officer Camille Farhat.
Singer has over 30 years of leadership experience at publicly-traded health care and pharmaceutical organisations. Previously, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Sagent Pharmaceuticals. Singer also served as chief financial officer of Landauer, and as vice president for Global Finance and chief executive officer of the Medical Segment at Teleflex. A certified public accountant, he has held roles at Cardinal Health, RR Donnelley & Sons and KPMG.
Further appointments
Further adjusting its management team, RTI appointed Olivier Visa as its president of OEM, Donor Services and Sports, and Julius Aviza to the role of vice president, Global Quality Assurance. Visa has 25 years of experience in the global health care industry. He joins RTI from Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where he was Vice President of Global Compounding. Visa succeeds Roger Rose, president of Donor Services and OEM.
Previously vice president of Global Quality at American Medical Systems (AMS), Aviza has over 20 years of global quality assurance experience. He worked for multiple medical device companies including AMS, Allergan, GE Healthcare, Baxter and Abbott Laboratories. Aviza succeeds Bryan Martin, vice president of Quality.
RTI recently appointed Paul Montague as vice president, Human Resources. Enrico Sangiorgio was also named vice president and general manager, International Markets. RTI continues to recruit for research and development positions.
