Jason Blain promoted to president and chief operating officer of Spinal Elements

Spinal Elements has appointed Jason Blain to the position of president and chief operating officer. In this new position, he will have responsibility for product development, quality, marketing, operations, and regulatory compliance.

Blain has 20 years of experience in orthopaedics. A co-founder of Spinal Elements, he previously served as president of the company prior to its acquisition by Amendia in April of this year. The newly combined company now goes by Spinal Elements.

Blain will report to Spinal Elements chief executive officer, Chris Fair, and also will serve as a member of the board of directors.

Prior to founding Spinal Elements, Jason had roles in product development, manufacturing, regulatory affairs and quality assurance with Smith & Nephew, Alphatec, and Nuvasive. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, USA.
