The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted a patent for the Jazz platform to Implanet. This protects the company’s intellectual property until 2032.
The Jaz platform’s intellectual protection now covers the braided implant and its tensioning system, the principal element of its instrumentation. Implanet now possesses intellectual property architecture covering the specificities of its Jazz platform in the countries it has defined as priority markets; the USA, Europe, China, Japan, Australia and South Africa.
Ludovic Lastennet, chief executive officer of Implanet, says, “This protection creates a solid barrier to potential competitors in an American market that places a strong emphasis on intellectual property rights.”
