New York City’s Hospital for Special Surgery has acquired a third EOS system.
The hospital installed its first EOS in 2013 for paediatric cases and its second EOS in 2015 for adult cases. The third EOS system will be dedicated to patients suffering from degenerative and deformative spine conditions. It is intended to enable the second unit to better serve the hospital’s large joint orthopaedic reconstruction patients.
Marie Meynadier, chief executive officer of EOS imaging, says, “The Hospital for Special Surgery also uses our online 3D surgical planning software, hipEOS. This is a trend that we expect to spread across our existing and future sites. We are thrilled to expand our relationship with HSS by delivering an additional system so that more of their patients can benefit from safe and accurate imaging.”
