Fiagon and joimax have announced a partnership at the 2015 German Spine Meeting (DWG) in Frankfurt. The joimax Intracs system (Intraporative navigation, tracking and control system) will use Fiagon’s proprietary FlexSensor electromagnetic-based navigation technology.

The Fiagon technology is designed to give physicians with greater confidence in instrument placement during spinal procedures. According to a press release, the navigation system is ready-to-run within a few minutes, smart, safe and very precise. This technology has already been used in oral and maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery and spine surgery.

“In the future, we will also be able to treat most patients with different endoscopic systems because of the electromagnetic navigation technology developed with Fiagon,” comments Wolfgang Ries, CEO and founder of joimax.

“Our system has been designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. The result is a system that is tailor-made for the physician while providing the best possible accuracy, precision and confidence. The combination of joimax and Fiagon technology is a win-win for physicians and patients,” says Timo Kruger, CEO at Fiagon.
