EOS imaging has announced that it has received approval from the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) to market the EOS system in South Korea. The company has now obtained authorisation to market its technology in 34 countries.
Approval to market EOS technology for orthopaedic imagine in South Korea follows similar regional authorisations in Japan and Taiwan. The KFDA approval will enable the company to expand its presence in the Asia Pacific medical imaging market, which is predicted to see the highest growth globally during the next five years.
To develop the Korean market, EOS has established a distribution partnership with DK Medical Solutions, a company established in 1986 and specialised in the import and sales of high end medical equipment, in particular imaging equipment.
