AO Spine has unveiled its new Guest Blog, which aims to share knowledge and improve patient care by allowing clinicians, scientists, influencers, thought leaders, and solution providers to share their experiences and opinions.

Asdrubal Falavigna, the current chairperson of AO Spine, said: “We welcome thought-leadership focused articles from our members and partners. With the new Guest Blog, the surgeon-led organisation can offer 100% relevant reads to the spine community and promote themes that the community themselves are working on and interested in.”

Norman Chutkan, chairperson of the AO Spine Community Development Commission, added: “The initial response has been more than encouraging. The titles we have selected to publish in the coming weeks range from patient expectations to lumbar durotomy; from diversity in research to assessing aggressiveness of osteoblastomas; from golf to care of patients with short life expectancy.

“Typically, the posts focus on clinical themes, scientific developments, recent trends, innovations, and surgeons’ experiences and will be published weekly. The Guest Blog also promises to highlight diverse perspectives from authors around the world, further advancing the AO Foundation’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.”

Guidelines for authors are set out on the website.
