At 2008’s fifth combined meeting of the British Scoliosis Society, the British Cervical Spine Society, the Society for Back Pain Research, and the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, a number of podium and poster presentations were given concerning current topics and controversies affecting spine surgery.
The meeting, BritSpine, was held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, from April 30 – May 2, and an attendance of over 350 delegates was recorded. Some of the best key discussions, voted by the audience, are highlighted below.
